Who says dessert has to be unhealthy? Some of my favorite desserts are super healthy and fun to eat too! When I get my chocolate cravings, I reach for dark chocolate because it’s satisfying and offers a ton of antioxidants. Makes me feel great and calms my nerves during long days at work. Couple it with 2 capsules of Mood Balance and I’m ready to conquer the world!! (or at least feel like I can 💪)
Flavorful and with of added health benefits is our treat this week: Dark Chocolate Banana smoothie. No use of ice, sugar, or milk is required. Fact* – Dark Chocolate is a Powerful Source of Antioxidants and bananas provide a variety of vitamins and minerals, like magnesium – mineral used by every organ in your body, helping to digest proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Having a drained day? Eat a banana with your piece of dark chocolate. We, however, like to spice things up a bit – freeze it and blend it.
Try this :
1 Frozen banana
1 tbsp of melted dark chocolate
Almond Milk (or try Coconut Milk to make it paleo)
Throw all three ingredients into a blender, 30 seconds later – you have a delicious and healthy smoothie. Great for early morning or as a midday snack. It’s fast and easy to make for all the busy bees out there.
