The Golden Flower of the East

EB Herbarium Chrysanthemum Flower

Chrysanthemum Flower: This is the Golden flower that decorated the halls of palaces of Kings and Queens in Ancient China.  The imperial kingdoms regarded this flower very highly because it symbolizes wealth and prosperity. Beautiful to admire and even more aromatic to drink as tea.

These flowers have “cooling” properties so they are used in Traditional Eastern Medicine as a cure for summer heat.  If you feel dizzy, have headaches or your eyes get dry and red, try brewing a cup of dried Chrysanthemum flower tea. WebMD gave this flower much credit for its involvement in helping with high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
